Most shops quote by the hour, which means you’re paying for how long it takes them. We price every repair out of a book that’s already written. You approve the number before a single part comes off the truck.

The problem gets found, the repair gets looked up in the book, and you see the number in writing. You decide. If you say no, you owe the $89 and nothing more.

It gets fixed for that price
The price you approved is the price on the invoice. If we find something else along the way, we stop and ask before touching it.

What does it cost just to come out?
$89 for the diagnostic. Approve the repair and that $89 goes toward it — you don’t pay it twice. Decline and the $89 is all you owe, with no pressure either way. One thing worth saying plainly: there’s a $189 minimum on any repair, and the diagnostic is inside that, so a very small repair lands at $189 rather than $89 plus the part.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. Every repair is priced flat out of a set book. A capacitor is the same price whether it takes fifteen minutes or an hour and a half. You know the number before we start, and the invoice matches it.
Do you work after hours or on weekends?
Yes. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm. Anything after 6pm on a weekday, and anything on a Saturday or Sunday, is after-hours — one flat $95 added to the ticket, not a doubled labor rate. Keystone members get their first one each year free. We do take weekend calls; call or text and we’ll tell you straight whether we can get there.
Should I repair this system or replace it?
Depends on age, refrigerant type, and what’s failed. A twelve-year-old R-22 system with a dead compressor is usually a replacement. A six-year-old unit with a bad capacitor is a small repair. We’ll give you both numbers and let you decide — there’s no commission on the answer, so we don’t care which one you pick.
